Dedicated to Art

Born in Zurich Roberto Abt studied besides his professional life as an economist autodidactically all classic styles of painting: figurative, impressionist, pointilist, expressionist and abstract. In the beginning he did landscapes and developped a colorful style using intense mediterranean coulours and applied an expressive stroke. It is important to him to create works with a positive and constructive appearance. First exhibitions started in 1980 and continued for the next 40 years.

1999 Roberto Abt turned towards abstact painting using different techniques. He is influenced by Marc Rothko, Richard Diebenkorn, Hans Falk, Jaques de Villeglé, Tàpies, Jean Michel Basquiat and the graffiti artists.
